Plumeria

Last year we got some variegated pink plumeria, named ‘Pink Maya’ .For a picture…. https://www.tejastropicals.com/plumeria-rubra-pink-maya.html The foliage is amazing, but they were pricey. I found some more from a grower in far east Texas (sometimes refered to as Louisiana). These have a better price ($40 in a 3 gallon pot) and are nicely branched. I would put a picture up, but…pictures of dormant plumerias are pretty sad. Along with those we got in some ‘Uttaradit Pink’ plumeria. These have been grafted and are nice, short bushy sticks…you plumeria people will know exactly what I mean.

Cymbidium and Nuns orchids

Have you always wanted to grow orchids? Tried and they died? Grew but never bloomed again? These HARDY orchids can be planted in your shady spots and pretty much be ignored. Yet they will come back and bloom with minimal care.

Something that smells sweet?

The nursery smells amazing now. The citrus are doing their thing. The Heliotrope smells like a cross between baby power and licorice. The Pink Jasmine is stopping people in their tracks. The Sweet Olive is blooming again. The roses are finally opening up (if you shop for roses by the way they look in person…now is the time to get them).

Upcoming…

Our annual customer egg hunt is March 29th and 30th (we are closed Easter Sunday). This is not an event for kids, it’s for grown-ups! (Kids get everything already). Stop in, shop, find an egg, take it to the register at check-out and redeem for discounts and prizes. I found the last one from last year a couple of weeks ago…rainy days are the only reason gardeners get any house keeping done…
