Fire departments, police and the pizza guy depend on it!

When you call 911, one of the 1st things the dispatcher will ask for is the address. A Houston police officer recently chided me about my house numbers being too far from the front door, when I  called 911 for a neighbor. We found these sturdy house number holders and hand painted tiles. These are hand painted ceramic tiles from Mexico and come in 3 styles. The  green on the left (yeah, I know I wasn’t holding the camera level…let it go…), a desert theme and a white background with blue dots and flowers.  The frames come in a flat black, but can be spray painted to your liking. I used a can of paint that makes mine look like a hand hammered metal, dark gray, to match my house and you can check it out to know what paint I used to bring this look.  It looks quite festive.  I am going to add an up-light so it will be visible at night. We have frames that hold 2 to 5 tiles. They would make a great gift (I had to gift myself this set…). If you set it up and decide that you need a different color, the tiles slip out easily and can be switched.  Here is what the city wants….
