Can I Plant a 15- or 30-Gallon Tree by Myself?
A tree in a 15 gallon pot roughly weighs about 100 lbs, and is between 6- to 8-feet tall.  A single individual in good physical condition should be able to plant it by himself.

A tree in a 30 gallon pot roughly weighs between 180 to 200 lbs, and is between 8- to 10-feet tall.  Two individuals in good physical condition should be able to plant it.

We recommend purchasing our $30.00 tree planting kit, which is suitable for use when planting either a 15- or 30-gallon container tree.  It includes everything we would use if we were planting for you: stakes, chain, and root stimulator.

By following the instructions in our brochures How Plant A New Tree and First Year Tree Care, you'll be successful in planting and enjoying it to its fullest.
